Fabulous Cambridge Restaurants Within Walking Distance of the Atmark
We know you love your chef-grade kitchen and the Atmark’s outdoor barbecue options. But when you want to treat yourself to a night out, the neighborhood has plenty to offer, right within walking distance.
Here are a few hotspots, covering a host of cuisines:
Summer Shack: Don’t let the paper tablecloths fool you celebrity chef Jasper White has found fame for a reason. Folks come for the raw bar and lobsters galore, along with the Tower of Power, which is a generous stack of oysters, littlenecks, shrimp and crab claws.
Genki Ya: This small sushi bar has a big presence in the neighborhood. Its remarkably fresh menu offerings are hugely popular among Atmark residents, who also rave about the terrific, friendly service, convenient parking and tasty desserts.
Basha: This Mediterranean place is a hidden gem. It’s also kind of tricky to find, so map it out first. The stuffed grape leaves alone are worth the walk, and you can’t beat the prices. With live music and dancing also on the menu, it’s a guaranteed hit with visitors.
Jos’s: Across Danehy Park by the railroad tracks sits one of the best spots in Cambridge for margaritas, burritos and chile rellenos. There’s even outdoor seating in the summer for a full-on neighborhood experience.
Gran Gusto: Tucked away on the other side of Danehy Park is a little Italian and gourmet pizza spot that rivals (or some say, surpasses) the hottest North End restaurants. The atmosphere is sweet, the pasta is fresh made and you rarely have to wait for a table.
With so many spots to choose from, so close by, the only question is: What are you in the mood for?
